Our journey began in 2011 when God called Minister Navita K.J. Johnson-Belcher to teach Bible study at Springfield College in Houston, TX — where Scripture met honest conversations about pain, resilience, and mental wellness. In spaces often marked by silence and stigma, she opened the Bible and created room for healing, discovering that God’s Word speaks directly to our deepest wounds.
Those early gatherings grew into Persevering Women, an online women’s Bible study group, and ultimately into the founding of Perseverance Ministries in 2021 — a fully online 501(c)(3) ministry that bridges biblical truth and mental health. Here, we teach the Word, heal the mind, and strengthen the spirit, offering practical, faith-rooted tools so you can seek healing without walking alone.
